Led headlights
« on: February 09, 2016, 06:24:04 pm »

Has any1 tried those new led h7 lamps in their normal headlights?

Like these http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B014A9NRUQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?qid=1455042142&sr=8-13&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=h7+bulb+philips

Are they road legal ?

Will.they give the same blinding effect that hids give when used in the reflector lights

I like the idea of the LED H7 headlight bulbs as the technology has come on a lot in recent times, but i was told it could not be done due to the method that the H7 bulb is held in.
I only looked at dipped beam main beam may be different.

They have a fan in them for cooling?  :rolleye:

And for £48ish I don't think I'd risk putting them in for one to go a few weeks/months later or finding out the beam doesn't go as far as oem halogen bulbs.

I bet they will be awful. My mate put some LED bulbs in for his high beam as a test and they were wank.
The new LED type headlights that are on BMWs / Audis etc are specifically designed haha.

I think the latest generation ones are a lot better but at £140 a pair for good ones is a bit pricy
