Bleeding clutch master cylinder.

I have replaced the clutch master cylinder on my 58 plate golf gti, but cant seem to bleed it, is there a trickto bleeding it? Do you need to use vag tester? Any advise would be great.

Gravity bleeding usually works make sure the reservoir is always full undo the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder and let it run through. Tighting the nipple back up after a minute or 2 pump the peddle and see how it feels. If it dont feel right or peddle stays down pick back up with your hand and repeat procedure
