Protecting new wheels

What's the best way of protecting new wheels, other than keeping them in the boxes?  :signLOL:
Do they need a wax or sealing, or both?
I'd rather protect them before putting them on the car to make it easier.
Looked in Halfords this morning, but other than some cheap looking stuff they had nothing.

You are best off ordering some either

car pro cquartz uk
car pro dlux
gtechniq c1 or c5
gtechniq crystal serum light

any of those should be fine. these should last a true 6-18 months as opposed to normal wax or sealants as you will barely get 1 to 3 months in the real world.

As above the cquartz products are really nice. If you wanted a wax then Swissvax Autobahn is what I'd use. Should last 3 months plus. With a wax or quartz sealant though you shouldn't really use a wheel cleaner just a jet wash off and shampoo

Perfect thanks.
Where's best to get them from?

Just google car pro uk for the c quartz products. I think the dlux kits are about £20-£25

For the Swissvax either somewhere like polished bliss or Swissvax uk direct. It's about £100-£120 for a 200ml pot
