Couple of small updates. Fitted new discs and pads on the rear and repainted the calipers (nothing exiting so no photos).

Been keeping an eye on ebay the past few months for edition 30 panels. Luckily have managed to get the rear bumper and side skirts for a bargain, so got around to fitting them over the past two weekends. The passenger side needs a little more work as it seems to have been slightly kinked in transit, but getting there.

Also, finally got my highline clocks coded and fitted (purchased these with my seats).

So about a month ago, this changed slightly. I was initially looking for a turbo back exhaust to go stage 2+, so purchased a full BCS system with sports cat in 3":

However, while it was off, I thought it was a good chance to upgrade the turbo (Dans old one):

It's a LOBA LO410-EA113DV, which is allegedly capable of 410hp.

I then booked it in with Ecotune, who spent the day complete a custom map for me, giving me this:

340HP/341 lb/ft. Turbo is performing at around 21PSI

The torque value has been kept low to protect the bottom end with it being a higher mileage car. It was running 368 lb/ft was taken down a tad.

The guy at Ecotune was pleasantly surprised at what it achieved, saying it made better power than the K04 converted GTI he had in the day before.  I still need to fit my RS4 FPRV, which should stop it going rich at the redline, and will hopefully release a little more power, as the requested rail pressure is a little higher than what it is putting out.

This is without the S3 injectors and S3 Map sensor - it has been suggested with these I will comfortably hit around 380hp..However before that, an upgrade to brakes and suspension is required!

I have driven it like this for 1000 miles or so with no issues. It's actually great to drive, gives you a good punch, quick spool and is pretty controllable - until it rains

Glad to see it doing well for you and very surprised at what they say the potential is. Very interesting to see you running 21psi making that power,  very well mapped  :happy2:

I had my eye on this turbo. Not very often an affordable low mileage k03 hybrid comes up for sale! Good to see it staying on the forum though, and it looks a nice map - holds the torque right up the revs. Very nice.
