auto dimming mirror

hi there I have a 2005 gti and the mirror has stopped working ive changed the fuse and theres still no green light on the mirror any ideas

Silly question but you've not turned it off have you the button is on the lower rear of the mirror in the middle easy to turn off when you adjust it

I know I've done it

I would check the fuses again just in case there's two feeding the mirror as there's not really any lightly hood of something moving about to break a wire feed and assuming you've not had a screen replaced recently a fuse would be the expected culprit

I've looked on line and some say fuse 4 some say fuse 5
same fuse also runs heated seats, multi steering wheel and air con are these working?  if they are then next check would be to swap it out with someone else

on the plus side these are not overly expensive and you can shop about until a cheap one pops up on the bay
