Diverter Valve issues with Full under-tray.

Going from a Revised D to a G within 6 months. Then the G failing in less than 10 months.
Is HEAT the main reasons for them for failing?
As soon as I fitted my Full under-tray when I fitted my Revised D. I seem to be eating diverter valves.

My car is only running a Stage 1 Revo. So would it be worth fitting the short under-tray?

Tough one to answer. Only thing I can contribute is that on k03 cars the dv is closer to the turbo and would in theory be subject to more heat than the dv on a k04 car.

So if you're k03, heat could indeed be playing a big part in the problem.

If the full undertray you're referring to is the special aero thing off the mk6 Bluemotion, then maybe there's a point that it wasn't designed for a car with components being subjected to mapped GTI temperatures..? But that does seem a bit of a stretch for an explanation!

I put a full sized undertray on my ED30,
No heating issues in general. Then again, my DV was up top.

Also, my current car has shields pretty much front to back, it is better for keeping crap out in my opinion.

I can't remember what model it was off from. It's got the golf ball effect on it. It's a genuine part and there are slots around etc.
It's a K03 turbo.

When my DV+ arrives I'll the stick the short tray on and zip tie up the oil level sensor cable.

My K03 2+ with Meth kills them in 18-24 months

I ran a full undertray on my GTI and never had any issues. My G DV had no tears after a year when I replaced it when it went for mapping.

It's started after its been remapped. I don't want to go down the route of fitting a Forge and it's regular servicing.

Its about £35-£40 for the parts, see above.

1. I've been running one for about 50,000 with no problems with the G valve.
2. Benefits, quieter on motorway, slightly better MPG, less water spray in engine

I noticed no increase in MPG or noise reduction. It may reduce noise outside the car when idling.
The reason I got one was increased protection under the car from debris (being on air I was low and it would scuff before i hit the subframe).

I gather then it could be something else causing it to fail.

Only thing I've noticed with the full tray is how light the steering feels at higher speeds.

I was just about to create a post regarding G revision diaphragm and Forge DV. I've had the latter on my car for 4 years and 70,000 miles and never had an issue. I've now booked into R-Tech in Leicestershire for a change of map for stage 2+/3 and they say they won't touch the car with a Forge DV on and I have to change the back to a revision G. I will do so as I want to see what their map offers over my custom Evolution Chips map, but I found it a little strange tbh.

Forge DVs sound cool but can in some cases be problematic.
rtech want the absolute best hardware so using the oem g dv is the way forward.
