Welding Newbie

This looks good. I'm gonna buy myself a mig welder just because I can't learning how to do a few bits and would be good to make some shelves in the garage.

I should have got a gas one the welds look much cleaner.

Don't get the sealey mightymig 100. After a couple of days of use the power switch is not working properly. Get a gas one and use flux core then if you like it you can step it up and add the gas.
The wife wanted to spend €20 on some coat hooks.
Saving money already, :jumpmove: some old sub frame bolts. Welded very poorly the welder is stuck on high at the moment.

flux core is a very hot wire, would have been better using mig solid wire. as for learning, its quite self taught, granted you need to know the basics but best way is to practice, learn angles, settings, speeds.

Wish i had got a gas machine.
Started welding up some bars for the window in my garage.
