Fitted the oem units and they don't work on my 2007 Eddy. They turn on initially then turn out! Gonna try turning off the cold diagnosis on vag com in the hope that it'll solve the issue! TBC...

Anyone had issues with the oe units?

I replaced my bulbs with canbus error free ones and they're fine. Yellow ones looked well dull and made the car look worse lol

My bulbs lasted around 12-18 months before throwing intermittent bulb out errors. I replaced mine with full units from eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-Number-License-Plate-Light-Lamp-Unit-fit-SEAT-EXEO-LEON-Cool-WHITE-/310907959322?hash=item48638ef81a:m:mY0VL2hkZ7AwmbX0ZTOQfcg - (Leon Only!) and they're silly bright

Almost as bright as the dip beam aren't they Dan_FR  :rolleye At least the error free led ones can be aimed toward the plate and not the floor  :scared:

They're good. :happy2:
Are they plug and play on the mk5 2006?
Yes.
Thanks very much! :)
I have those LED. One of the easiest mods I've made.

Any chance of a pic fitted mate? Really on the lookout for a set of these, don't want like a xenon light at the rear which I've had before when purchasing this type lol

Imageshack deleted the pic I had online. The OEM LEDs have a small lenses like plastic that direct the white light just for the license plate. It's classy, not chavy.
