oil filter housing replacement

any one here a mechanic that can replace a oil housing unit.

Had a mechanic over today to get the stuck filter off but just damaged the housing unit  :congrats:

im based next to heathrow, just need labor to get it replaced please. car been on jacks for 2 weeks now

You mean that bit that is on the lump... or the plastic housing that holds the filter?

the plastic housing that holds the filter, done damage to the threads so oil just will pour out

The threads on the bit thats attached to the engine? Or the plastic "canister"?

Sorry to here that mate.
Some mechanic  :stupid: it's as easy as get a screw driver in and spin it off. Done a few of these not gti but oil filter housing relates issues where the nut has worn out and you have to break it off or punch a driver in and screw it off.
You mean the oil filter housing.

You mean the oil filter housing.
Kinda a difficult one as there is a center holder that you must not break

Any one able to help me get the housing adapter replaced with a new one... This is not the filter as that has been smashed off... I'll pay for your fuel and time I Dont mind. Just need to get this fixed

Oh yes the tube that holds the filter in place.
