ITG Maxogen G60 (Reducer pipe)
« on: February 28, 2016, 05:25:44 pm »
Hi y'all.

Recently replaced my Raid HP CAI kit with an ITG Maxogen G60.

Upon installation it became clear to my garage that the silicon reducer pipe that sleeves onto the MAF  pipework is hugely oversized (about 7-8mm) and not a snug fit as all the other connections are. When one tightens the jubilee clip on said reducer pipe, it pulls the metal pipework down and doesn't sit truly horizontal. The mechanic who installed it, said there's no way it should be like that, especially as all the other connections were tight to get onto the pipework and this one was as loose as a wizard's cuff.

Awesome, who I bought it from, told ITG and they said if  is normal and they've never had this complaint or situation arise. I don't really know what is permissable as far as fitment is concerned or not, but I know it doesn't sit properly and I don't like the way it looks.

Penny for your thoughts?

Thank you

Miles
