1st wash in months!!!
« on: March 01, 2016, 05:07:38 pm »
Hi guys & gals

I've been a part of this forum for quite a while. Initially started reading before getting my GTI in Dec 2010. Did a lot of things in the first few years then got distracted by a girl :pomppomp:

Well 3 years later and we are married! So back to my original love...my GTI

So I have spent quite a lot on car products in the last couple of months or so. Am planning to do my first machine detail this Spring. But for now just did the 1st wash since the Autumn.

I used snow foam for the 1st time too. Great Fun :happy2:

Here's a few pics:

Looking pretty dirty!

Snow foamed with AB HD Lance and MagiFoam

After leaving it to dwell for about 15 mins

After rinsing and washing 2BM with meguiars shampoo

Pretty happy with the results...especially as I haven't polished or waxed it in around 2 years :ashamed:

Thanks for looking :happy2:

You foam mix looks a little thick, as it's still pretty stuck on there after 15 mins!

That's pretty normal depending on the foam.
Magifoam will sit like that for half an hour.
great at stripping your wax lol  :popcornsoda:

Does MagiFoam strip the wax? It says LSP friendly on their site?

I was planning to use it even once I've waxed the car later in the year.

It's LSP friendly at the right concentration.
If you can afford one a hot water pressure washer will get more dirt off than any snow foam or pre-rinse and doesn't effect your LSP at all!  :happy2:
