Steering Wheel Locks ...

Can anyone suggest a reasonable steering wheel lock or equivalent to suit GTI steering wheel

... or are they not worth carting about everywhere ...

how secure are the MK5's ?

not secure at all and if you're living in a high crime rated area then I guess it's advisable to get one. Disc lock full steering surround are good but they do damage the leather after many uses.

other than the diskloc what other options are there ?

i've read horror stories about cars being broken into and reprogramming keys etc and driving off ...

I think thieves have much bigger fish to fry and are going for the 20k plus cars like the .:R and the Focus RS.

Not really worth the hassle of stealing a 5-8k car for them.
