Front side light error on dash
« on: March 03, 2016, 01:57:54 pm »
Hi all, I don't usually post for issues but I've got that error on my dash and I can't seem to delete it even with vcds.
Can anyone help please?.

I have depo xenon headlights and normal 501 amber side light bulbs x4 two in each light.

Thanks

What is the code in vcds? Has anything changed recently or has it just randomly happened?
Is the sidelight working?
Have you tried swapping the bulb with a known working one?

Hi @jason_rmh it's been like this since I had the previous led bulbs in which I then replaced for normal 501 bulbs and they are all new. unfortunately the log file has been over written by another file so I'll have to get another when I can.
Don't understand as they are normal bulbs I've fitted.
Side lights and running lights all work fine and indicating as normal.
I've replaced all the bulbs now but still getting the error after clearing the fault code which I'll upload once I scan it again.

Strange. I got errors with leds but the car checks on ignition on and bulb light should go out again.

Try turn off ignition, lock car and leave for 15 mins, this should give CAN system time to shutdown. Then unlock and turn ignition on, start car, see if fault clears itself?

Thank for the quick reply mate.

As I said it's been going on from the day I fitted the depo lights.

It's been like this for over 6 months now.

The light on the dash illuminates and stays on throughout the whole drive. On vcds it says left hand side indicator ******** I'll have to scan again for code sorry I can't give full details atm.

Now I've activated my rear blinkers to run with the front some how amd they flash brighter with the indicators.

Can't seem to figure out the indicators error though.
