Had a slight panic 2 night, went out into the car park at work, lashing down with rain and noticed the dredded patch of oil running through the water!! Got underneath with the torch to look and it looks like its gathering in the undertray and spraying onto the gear box with it getting wet! Looked in from the top of the engine down the sides and over the block and gearbox and its all dry, can't really get round the back to see anything. Its probably worse than it looks and I did have to top it up with oil a couple of thousand miles ago. Any common faults that anyone no's about, power and temp same as normal, gonna speak to my vw specialist asap in the morning which will probably put the fear of god in me!
