Sell it back to Copart and take the hit - they'll collect and the first loss will be the biggest education for your next purchase.
If you can do it yourself then I'd remove the cylinder head before anything. If it's just a snapped timing chain which is basically the same as the cambelt snapping then you won't need a complete engine. You will only need a head rebuild. I had a head rebuilt last year from a 2.0 tfsi and it cost me £320 at a local engine builders. If you can remove the head and refit it yourself then it would probably be less than half the cost of a full engine
