lower dash help

hello i have a vw phone prep kit fitted to my mk5 golf passenger side. worried when i remove it will be a big hole so after a replacement lower dash has any one done this and is it easy?

There will be a big hole, two small, but ugly, screw holes too.

I bought a new glove box trim, cost about £50 new.

There is also the phone kit controller, hidden under the drivers seat, buried in the side

It's a grey long box with plugs each end, you need to disconnect this or you'll never be able to fit the current bluetooth kits.
It'll keep causing problems and causing conflicts :(

brilliant thanks for your help. where did you buy yours from don't suppose you no the part number do u? ok just un plug from the grey box no where else?

Bought mine from VW dealer, but I'd ring TPS and ask them, as I get most stuff, direct from them now :)

Don't need to know part, Just give them reg No. and tell them its lower dash that glove box fits into.

They will look it up on computer.
You can transver the actual glove box, plastic hinge pins, trim etc, over a quiet few hours :)
