Part number help please
« on: March 18, 2016, 10:52:48 pm »
So Iv searched the forum and the usual on line part number finders but can't find what I'm looking for so if anyone can assist I'd be very greatful
Iv got a 2007 ED30 3door. Iv seen quite a few older 3door MK5's that have a rubber seal around the rear side windows which mine is missing. I believe that MY07 onwards had a few features taken off them in a cost cutting excersise and the rear window seals on a 3door was one of them
Anyway I think on a 3door the rear side windows look better with the rubber seals. Are they available separately or are they part of the glass? If they are available separately can anyone let me know the part numbers please? I can find 5door info but not 3door

From the site I use it looks like it would be part of the glass as it doesn't show up as a separate item. They was on earlier mk5's before 2007 from what I have read but you might be able to get in contact with a glass company like autoglass or national windscreens who might be able to source a pair. Or try get a chassis number from a 3 door with them on and I might be able to get you a P/N from the works catalog

Thanks for the help guys  :happy2:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=37784522&rlz=1C1AVNG_enGB683GB683&espv=2&biw=1034&bih=651&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj4me7ItMvLAhXlYZoKHV83A7EQ_AUIBygC#tbm=isch&q=377845322&imgrc=YaNPF7jTyIdf4M%3A

is it number  16

I found this when searching but that part number looks like a MK4 type that held the glass in. On the MK5 the glass is bonded onto the quarter panel and the rubber seal on the early cars is really just a filler piece that makes the front window rubber flow into the rear. It's purely cosmetic I think, but I'm a tart and think it looks good lol
