This is something I am after doing with my 06 plate GTi, All I really want is a radio that does Bluetooth audio streaming but still looking like a standard VW radio.

Re: battery drain. why can't you cut the live + positive wire to the stereo and fit it direct like I did when I had this with my TT and the battery drain issue went.
