car has just done 6o,ooo miles and i dont think the dv has been changed. please does anyone know at which point these should be chnaged thanks

VW don't class it as a servicable item, but it really should be.

It's probably good practice to change it every year or two, especially if you're running higher boost than standard.

Get the VW revision G valve.
