New TD's or Ultraleggera's?
« on: March 12, 2016, 05:26:02 pm »
Looking into ordering myself a set of TD's new but before hand... I'm wondering if anyone has any Ultraleggera's available or knows of any up for sale on any other forums?

Also if I was to go for the TD's which colour out of these four would you choose for a red GTI:

Satin / Matt black
Gloss black
Satin graphite
Gloss Anthracite

Ideally 18" but i think there going to be harder to find as most people seem to have 19's.. Colour wise i'm not massively fused about but black / anthracite would be my ideal choices or similar.
Have you got 19's on your signature? How did you find handling on the 19's compared to a set of 18's? Also is there really that much difference between cost of tyres for 18's and 19's as well as harshness on town roads? @Mandy

I like the TD's but i'm not sure if i like the the 1.3's more because they don;t have the "team dynamic" on the rim which i kind of like but in my opinion, there not worth the extra money to not have that on... What i'd really like most is Ultraleggera's but i don't have £1250 + tyres to spend. Colour wise for the TD's i was thinking Matt / Gloss Black to match the GTI exterior trim.

Funny, I'd prefer them (1.2) without the writing but they're more expensive that way.

Think thats what i meant to say, must be me not making sense in my above post. Basically i prefer the wheels without the team dynamic embossed into the rim which i think is the 1.3's? But they are at least another £100 more to have a the rim smoothed.

Oh, I did not know this... Shame you'd have to pay a lot more for them because there from VWR though i'd imagine...
