Hey guys so my engine in my A3 2.0 TFSI Quattro died on me a few days ago the chain broke causing timing to jump and has now bent 8 valves in my cylinder head.

I've been searching for a new engine for the right price everywhere and I've seen a 2006 MK5 GTI AXX code Engine for sale just wanted to know if it's an exact straight fit? And also would i need different ancillaries and loom etc? What problems could I potentially face..

Thanks for any help in advance people!

Engine is a straight fit. Possibly have to change a sensor or 2 from your old engine to the new one but that's about it.

Would also be cheaper and less work to repair your current one as mentioned above

If there wasnt movement then they would seize.

There is always rock in the bores.

Should be some free play in the Pistons. Excessive movement would be an issue.
