Did these ever see the light of day ?. Loads of pictures around & they looked mint in the red colour but did any hit the roads ?.

No.

Bits of it will appear on future mk6s but I think it very unlikely it will see the light of day. I would guess that the ED35 will have some of the styling touches.
The mk6 (5.5) styling was closely based on the W12 GTI so I think we can take it as read that something similar to the Worthersee will appear with different badging, wheels and trim.
The GTI Street from the same show was pretty cool too.
