Thinking of returning to a ED30/Pirelli
« on: March 15, 2016, 11:22:21 pm »
Sold my Pirelli December 2013 and would like to get back in one.

Always regretted selling it and sold it for a daft reason really. I'm a bit OCD about my cars and I always garaged it, it was a weekend toy.

I had to move house and had no garage. It pained me to keep it out side unused all winter so I sold up.

Time past and I've now got a garage again. With a young child time has flown by and I didn't have time to even think about hot hatches so I've found myself 2 and a half years later driving something completely different because it was family friendly. (Audi A6 estate, nice car but no excitement)

I'm going to sell it soon and would love to get back in either and edition 30 or Pirelli again.

Prices seem a little crazy. I think I'm going to struggle to find anything close to what I had. I had a black 3 door Pirelli in manual with pretty much all other optional extras. On top of that it had been very neatly modded to stage 2 with loads of nice upgrades. Mint condition and on 35,000 miles. Sold it for £12,000!!

Now I always thought unless you had a very rare classic car then cars depreciate and fast but looking around I can't find anything like mine for what I'd consider a decent price.

I'll keep searching as in no rush and hopefully something will come up.
I'd love my old car back..

Which one was that? So I can see what a good example is.

I'm new to the GTI world, but in my research for a DSG on Autotrader etc, there seemed to be very few sub 35,000 mile cars out there. One dealer car that I was monitoring in Leicestershire had a 2006 GTI with 33,000 miles, not many options, up at £8500 before Christmas 2015. It's still up for sale now, but the dealer has upped the asking to £10,000.

The limited edition ones certainly seem rare and at a further premium.

There's a really nice Pirelli in the classifieds here. The price is also very attractive, just under 9k. I love those seats
