5 Dr side bump strips in primer
« on: January 03, 2010, 07:43:18 pm »
Does anyone know if you can get 5 dr side bump strips in primer from the dealers? If so a part number and price?
Also would they be able to be switched ie my plastic ones for the primered ones? I know there are holes behind there but I am unsure of how they are fixed.
Fitting colour coded ones in my one option the other is removing them totally. I like the way this looks on a 3 dr but I have not seen it on a 5 dr. Does anyone have any pics of it done or opinions?
Any answers or opinions are much appreciated.
Cheers
Ollie :happy2:

Ps It will have colour coded r32 sideskirts too.

Here you go Ollie

Left front primed - 1K4 853 515C GRU
Right front primed - 1K4 853 516C GRU
Left rear primed - 1K4 853 753A GRU
Right rear primed - 1K4 853 754A GRU

The side stripes should be able to be pulled off and the new ones will have and adhesive strip on the back so they can be stuck to the door.

Cheers Darren, I'll phone and see how much they are tomorrow! I will be ordering the coils tomorrow as well so ill let you know when they will be arriving!
Do you think colourcoded then? Im thinking maybe removed might look like a blob of blue on wheels?   :drinking:

Edit - I did a chop (see sig) but it is not the best angle to judge from!

Can you get the door handles in primer as well?
I want to get everything ready so it can all be done in the body shop at one time (cheaper i hope)
Cheers :happy2:
