BCS downpipe to Milltek cat back
« on: March 21, 2016, 01:49:07 pm »
I've managed to pick up a second hand BCS downpipe and 200 cell sports cat, ideally I'd want a BCS cat back but can't afford it right now. I've been offered a cheap 1 yr old milltek non res cat back however are the 2 compatable?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it's not a direct fit.

You will need a reducer sleeve from 3" (Downpipe) to 2.75" (Milltek cat back) in order to mate them together. Any decent exhaust specialist should have this, if not then you can get it off the net  :happy2:

Thanks mate, much appreciated. I assume I wouldn't still need the link pipe as the sleeve would effectively be that?

Maybe it's worth holding off and getting the BCS cat back when I have saved the cash!

Yes mate, the reducer would be your new link pipe  :happy2:

Completely up to you... i personally dont like the Milltek systems. The back box just seems too big as you can noticeably see it underneath the car from behind. Not very tidy IMO

Thanks! That reducer/link pipe doesn't look long enough! Am I being stupid?
Would I have to specify exactly the length and diameter, Ie the full spec?!

It depends how far up the Milltek cat back goes on the car (towards the downpipe). I wouldn't know as i have the BCS system on mine.

Your probably better off taking it to an exhaust specialist so it can be mated up/fabricated if required to fit. But then you will be spending more money which could be put towards a BCS cat back system :signLOL:

That's it mate. I've decided against it. Just as you said I'm going to wait and get a BCS cat back when funds allow. Thanks again!
