Mk5 Golf R32 - Dashboard Light Out
« on: March 22, 2016, 07:00:23 pm »
Hey guys,

Apologies if this has already been answered but I couldn't find it anywhere!

I have a 2007 Mk5 R32 and one of my dashboard speedo bulbs are out, would anyone know how to replace/fix this? It is the bulb that goes from between 60-120ish in the speedo (funnily enough the speeds that I am doing most of the time in the car as I do a lot of motorway driving lol -.- )

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Might be a good time to upgrade to highline ones maybe?

Or open it and replace the bulb?. I had slightly similar with my tt so opened it and dealt with the issue  :happy2: helps to have a few spare clocks to hand too  :signLOL: I sold four tt dash pods for double the prices I paid for them.

i'm guessing due to the brightness and white colour they'll be soldered on LED's rather than bulbs but still quite fixable
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

They are very small soldered smds. They are very delicate to swap out

Easy to do if you have a decent soldering iron imho and saves you a few quid too. or you'll have to send it to one of those dodgy companies who'll change a fortune for an smd. as I said I've done it myself. all you'll need is the correct bulb.
