Heated Seat's Not Working
« on: March 27, 2016, 04:07:29 pm »
Hi, Had the seats out to give the carpets a wash and have now re-installed and the heated seats are not working!!

Both sides are not working however the electric lumber on the drives side is and is not on the passenger side!?!?

Anyone else had this issue?

have checked fuses already

Thanks

Have you checked the block to make sure it's plugged in properly?

yes but will have another look once the rain stops!!!

just weird that the lumbar support is working on the drives side but the heated seat isn't - appreciate they both have different connectors!

nothing working on the passenger side though!!

Check the module under the passenger seat is pugged in correctly, since both seats aren't working.

Checked all clips. Drivers side lumbar is working.  No lumbar on passenger side and still no heated seats?!?!?

Fuses are ok

What else could it be?

You'll need to check if a feed is getting to the fuse holder next.

Might have a old multi Meter in the garage somewhere.

Going to have a look for it.....

Found it and battery in it is dead!!!!

Have had a read through and wouldn't know where to start tbh....not very good with electrics I'm afraid....

My car is 2008 model so only one module under drivers seat.

Can't work out why the electric lumbar on drivers side is working and nothing else is, I.e. Passenger side lumbar and both heated seats.

May get a mate to plug it in to vdcs on check if there is any issue with the module itself....

Well get a battery for the meter, cause your pal may be capable of doing the required testes with the how to and the meter.
I've never had it happen but get him to check the coding in case it's turned its self off some how?????
