Advice on which compact camera?
« on: February 29, 2016, 08:16:52 pm »
As title.

I already have a DSLR but need something that can be chucked in the wife's bag etc while out and about and doesn't take so much room. Budget, around £300-£400 (but happy to spent £50   ). Size, decent zoom and ease of use is a must.

I have been looking at getting rid of my Canon DSLR for something smaller and a lot more compact but can still take great shots.

The one that came out on Talk Photography when I asked the same question was the Sony RX100. After looking into them and seeing some of the results people get from them I will be treating myself to one after our wedding in a few weeks.

I found for me the MK2 would suffice. Currently on MK4. Take a look on http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ for the cheapest places to buy.
