Recent Bilstein eBay purchase, genuine seller??
« on: April 01, 2016, 09:29:28 pm »
Hello as per title I bought some coilovers off eBay this morning  'buy it now' because of the great price, the photos show the coilovers to be in really good condition and with correct part numbers for Bilstein B14's to fit my edition 30.

However after not getting a couple of replies back I started to look at there recent feed back and it all looks artificial e.g. 1p SIM cards??
See link below what do you guys think??

Guess I should just be patient and see if it comes good but just a little anxious about it now.

Mike.

Probably a scammer.
If this turns out to be the case surely I'm covered by eBay / PayPal right?

you should be covered by PayPal, although it will probably take about two weeks to process the claim

So you will be covered by Paypal as presume the purchase would go through as Goods and Services so if not received anything or not what was described. Also you will be covered on Ebay if they do not send the part or send it and it is not as described.

Right thanks for your replies, I just did a bit of googling and eBay do a money back guarantee if payed via PayPal etc although will need to wait until after the Estimated delivery date.

Should of just bought new from a reputable dealer.....

Yes I should of trusted my instincts on this but the photos were really good showing all the part numbers which at the time made up for the rough translated description.

I rang eBay today and they said I'm covered under the PayPal guarantee if they don't turn up by the 18th April which is reassuring.

I've saved a lot of money buying second parts over the past year but l will think twice about buying on eBay in the future or at least pay more attention to the seller.

I will keep this post updated with the latest outcomes.
Cheers
