Just bought a mk5 golf tdi as my daily car. It has 18 inch wheels with 225/40/18 tyres. The back ones are filling the arches with the rubber actually a little in the arch, The fronts have about 1 inch gap between the top of the tyre and the bottom of the arch. I need to go higher as there are speed bumps everywhere. I have just been to MCC and they told me it has non standard springs. Do you recon if I change the springs to standard it will sort everything and also still not have too much space between the arches ? If so what will this potentially cost me and will my springs be worth anything? Thanks
