Rcd 510 questions
« on: April 03, 2016, 03:36:38 pm »
Currently i have a factory fitted rcd300 mp3 w/ipod connection in armrest.
I have just bought a rcd510, awaiting delivery.

Will the ipod feature still work on the 510 ?
Can you turn off the annoying beep every time the screen is touched ?

Thanks

I upgraded my RCD300 to the RCD510, I stiull have the ipod in the armrest, 6x cd of mp3, and a 32Gb SD card of mp3, I have a lot of choice......and yes you can turn off the beeping, funnily enough I turned mine on....

i am afraid that track selection on the ipod is still the same, track 01 / 02 etc. only being able to go next track or mix  - no track info.

simply, no. you will need to have it enabled, thats why i went for an aftermarket parrot kit with mine.
i got http://www.halfords.com/technology/connectivity/bluetooth-car-kits/parrot-ck3000-evolution-hands-free-kit from halfords when they were running the 10% off deal.

If you get the Bluetooth module and the associated gubbins, of course it will work.

he asked will it plug and play, the answer is still no. yes it will plug in no problem, but it wont work until you get someone to code it in an enable it.
