Kink in drivers wing
« on: June 28, 2016, 07:04:38 pm »
I've got a small kink in my drivers side wing, caught it on lock a bit when I went over a particularly bumpy patch in the road.
Any DIY options to try and get the kink out myself?

Wouldn't a picture of the damage help you here?

There's literally no point as you can barely make it out on a photo. Just a kink the width of your thumb, not even that deep a kink.

Just wondered if anyone knows a method to try and get a small kink out themselves without damaging paint.

I'd call in a mobile dent removal guy rather than attempting it yourself.

Where in the country are you? I can recommend someone in the surrey area I've used a couple of times - made the dents disappear with no paint damage.

Same here if you're in Kent.

Definitely put up a photo highlighting the exact area. Depending on where it is, it can be popped quite easy.

I removed a few from my wheel arch by removing plastic arch cover and gently tapping with a rubber mallet and timber spreader.

Also removed a bend in the door using a G-clamp.

Put up a photo and we might be able to help further.

I know a very good mobile dent removal guy based in East London.  Dent Detective - 078130661692.  I've used him a few times, with perfect results!
