The karcher k4 in halfords is water cooled now (the motor) for £150

Cheers for that.

Is that the regular K4 or the K4 "Full control"?  Looks like one of the K4s is discontinued too, probably the regular one.

I keep mine at the back of the garage under a sheet. When you operate it you have to lie it down, so no chance of it falling over when in use

Like you I was pi$$ed off wasting my money on Karcher washers having killed three off them . Then I bought a KRANZLE pressure washer , its the best tool I have bought the quality is exceptional , don't be put of by the price ,you get what you pay for

Thing is though, I only use a pressure washer 2 or 3 times a year, so I couldn't quite justify £500 on a basic Kranzle.  I will get one when funds are more plentiful.

For now I picked up the Krasher K4 from Halfords and I'll see how long this one lasts     It does have a 3 year warranty which is pretty handy.

My Karcher K4 must be about 3-4 years old, never had a problem.

I actually bought it as manufacture refurbished from the Karcher official outlet shop. Well worth having a look on there. They sell with a 6 month warranty (can extend to 12M for £11):

They seem to have a sale on now too, so you can pick up a K4 premium for £106 or K4 full control for £139

The K2 I have is pretty small, not tried it yet, looks a bike like a toy
Version !  Haha, should have enough power based on spec though. And was cheap.
