I always look forward to need updates on this thread. Really nice work fella.

How did you paint the discs and what did you use? I take it the pads wear away any over spill in time?

I use engine enamel as it takes a while to dry but gives a nice smooth finish and does not get effected by heat. Two coats is normally all you need. Brakes cleaned up the excess paint but I go over it with panel wipe to get most of it off first.

Replacement sub box arrived at audio shop today so picked it up and got it installed.

Booked some time off work at the end of November and a ramp at my mates shop. Will finally get my intercooler fitted along with RFD, RS4 fuel pressure valve and evap delete. Will do a intake valve clean as well.

That sub box looks ace! Hardly takes up any boot space and carpet is a good match. Details please! Where can I buy one from?

Do you happen to know the internal volume?

Great build thread

The one posted is the original one I had that split.

It was replaced by my local audio shop but looking around they sell them on eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-golf-mk-5-6-Sound-upgrade-speaker-sub-box-8-10-oem-stealth-side-enclosure-NEW-/152262203232?hash=item237388d760:g:~roAAOSws0lTW2LV

I must say that with the new box the bass is a lot tighter and sounds much better.

Awesome, thanks for that, saved to my eBay watchlist

Golf now off the road until I fit all my stage 2 parts and RFD on 25th November.

E class Merc went this morning and picked up my Navara. A lot more suitable for my job and the places I have to go. Already added led lights and dab

Hopefully we get some snow this year  :happy2:

Not touched the golf but started to sort out parts for when it gets painted.

Managed to get a NOS spoiler from TPS and a new brake light.

Got the spoiler painted and the underside done in gloss black along with the SRS tech spoiler lip.

All the underside looks gloss black once lip spoiler placed on.

Adds about 30mm to the oem spoiler.

Managed to get a spare Mondial wheel just need to get it powder coated black and get a tyre.
