Managed to get the afternoon off and nip down my mates workshop for a bit of time on the golf.

Old exhaust off and start on the new. Relentless 3.5" down pipe going on. Bitch to get the old one off though.

Went on easier than the old one come off.

Got the BCS all mounted up but run out of time so need to do a bit of adjustment once it has settled.

Sounds a lot better than the standard exhaust.

Polar FIS turned up today and Focal front speakers have turned up just need some good weather to get them fitted.

Did you build your sub box yourself or buy it ? As I really like it and I have a baby so have a pram in my boot most the time so can't have a normal sub

Got the sub box off eBay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK5-MK6-Custom-Fit-MDF-10-Sub-Box-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Bass-MKV-MKVI-/370799663953?hash=item565561db51:g:U08AAOSwGotWn-wG

Came of my mates mk5 as he was selling it.

Spent most of this morning doing the Polar FIS advanced. Pain in the Arse to get the canbus gateway out. Needed the firmware updating but works great. Taken a while to program the screens but pics below.

Just need to decide on an intercooler then I have everything for a stage 2 map.

You need Polar FIS installed to get all that info on Highline clocks.

Not been up to a lot on the car lately as sorting out a new car as the Vito was racking up the miles. Pick up a Mercedes E300 Bluetec Hybrid on a 15 plate tomorrow. Will do me for a couple of months until my pickup arrives.

Got back on the golf today though.

Fuel filter replaced as old on looked like it had been on a while.

THS uprated lower engine mount which was a pain in the Arse but loads better than the old sloppy oem one. Bit of vibration but should loosen up once I get some miles on it.

Got the brembo front and rear discs plus pads. Rear inner pads had siezed.

12mm spacers added alround with longer black anodised bolts and lockers. Fills the arch's a lot better.

Managed to pickup a BCS prestige exhaust up for £400. Ordered a Relentless 3.5" decat down pipe to go with it.

Still waiting for my speakers but they are on back order. Will get the tracking done tomorrow once I have picked up the new car.
Wheels look much better with the spacers.. did you have to get tracking re done after?

I did get the tracking done after but only because I removed the subframe to replace the lower engine mount. If I had only done the spacers and brakes I would not of got it done.

Managed to get my quick shift on this morning. Feels a lot tighter now.

Spent this afternoon giving it a good clean. Looks ok but still needs work and a bit of paint.

Ordered a Anti lift kit and managed to get some bits off my mate who is selling his Gti. Got a set of R32 rear lights and a unused Intercooler and pipes. Looks like a eBay version 2 in black but got it for free so will get it put on.

Id be interested to see what you think of the eBay version 2 intercooler. They look like they have the same measurements as the Darkside one, so like the S3, but with bigger inlet/outlet I believe?

Great build thread, lots of useful info!
