11/10 for effort on the sills, mine would benefit but not sure I'm brave enough!  :congrats:

That's the beauty of paint. If you mess it up just sand it down and try again.

Managed to get the drivers wing to fit better. Got my hammer out and made a couple of adjustments  :happy2:

Removed my sound pad off the under side of the bonnet. Cleaned up the bonnet and came up ok.

Did a quick clean on the engine bay as spiders have taken residence it's not moved in so long.

Hopefully the bodyshop get their finger out and get my bits finished this week.

Got the call from the bodyshop today to say my bits were ready.

Managed to get the rear bumper all built up and on.

Front bumper all built back up.

Car looks so much better now. Still got to finish off fitting the bumpers but will do that over the weekend and try to fit my sills if the weather is ok.

Cheers for the comments.

Got the front bumper complete and had to adjust the splitter mounting holes a bit.

Still need to put the under tray and wing liners on.

New set of Uniroyal Rainsport 3 215/35/18 delivered.

Got these side skirts off my mate that was selling his car. Cost nothing and painted for free whilst doing my other bits. Good job really as they are shocking and not going to be fitted to the car. Will go TPS and get a genuine set.

Just need to get my wheels booked in with the refurbers. Decided on going gloss black to go with the grill and bumper accents. May vinyl the roof black as well.

Looking very smart. I really need to get some paint work done to mine. I might do what you've done and remove / fit the parts after I've had a body shop paint them to save on time cost and the fact I need my car daily

The skirt needed a bit of adjustment and trimming as most aftermarket stuff does.

Managed to get the bumpers fully fitted and removed my spacers so I could test fit one of the Land Rover wheels and adapter.

Should be getting refurbed in 3 weeks and ordered some gloss black paint to do the centre caps.

Did a couple of bits in preparation for the mondials.

Painted the outside edge of the adapters in the same paint as the discs so you don't notice them behind the wheels once they are gloss black.

Centre caps painted just need a couple more coats of clear so I can polish them up.

Been to the bodyshop this morning to sort out the next phase of work so will be getting done over winter.

Plan is to firstly remove the side strips on the door and rear quarter then weld up the holes left. Repair the rear arch. Paint the side and bonnet and blow it into the front bumper. Will get rear quarter glass removed and replaced with privacy version at the same time.

Will go in at a later date for the drivers side.

Going to get a non GTI boot and get it painted with a privacy glass fitted with a carbon spoiler to go with gloss black roof.

Gave the golf a wash as it was covered in spiders webs. Thought I might as well fit the side skirts until it goes in the bodyshop.

Couple of pics of the car in its multi colour goodness

For some reason my sub box has destroyed itself.

Will contact the supplier on Monday.
