Hi :)
« on: April 06, 2016, 09:45:18 am »
Thought I'd join up as I'm toying with replacing my 330d M Sport Touring with a Mk5 Edition 30.

Previous cars include Bosworth, Cavalier Turbo, Vectra GSI, Audi S2 Avant (x2), Audi S4 B5 saloon (500bhp, was huge fun!), Audi RS4 B5, and all sorts of other stuff over the years :)

My GF has recently got a Mk5 GT GTI which made me catch my eye to an Edition 30

Hello Mart hope you are well  :happy2:

Good choice on the ED30's, Great cars! I have had 2 x Tornado Red ED30's and really rated them.

Good luck with your search!

P.S It is Simon from VXON or Cavweb as it was once known many years ago!

Cheers everyone :)
Nice to see some familiar names, its a small world!

I've found a really nice looking white Ed30 local to me but just found out it is potentially clocked and was stage 2+, could be a good buy if its just mileage confusion on the ads and had some of the mods still but it looks like they've been removed from what I can see

Nice to see some familiar names, its a small world!

Any idea how I can post without it needing approval? I can't see anything that explains what you have to do....

I've found a really nice looking white Ed30 local to me but just found out it is potentially clocked and was stage 2+, just wondered if anyone knew the car but my post needs approval

This post!

I've been looking at buying an Edition 30 preferably in white, and this one came up quite local to me.
As usual I started digging about looking at its history etc and found that it was listed for sale late last year here:

http://www.caricle.co.uk/detail/Used-2008-Volkswagen-Golf/ZJTSoJxmSxESSxExSsm.html

On that advert it shows 103,907, it is now being adverted with 95,000 here:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201604072726008

However, it was MOT'ed on the 5th of March showing 98,052 miles!

Also, on the old advert it is listed as stage 2+, to my eyes it looks like some of the mods have been removed on the new one (at least the ridiculous number plate has gone!)

Does anyone know the car?

Thats the one, Ive been approved now, apparently I needed 3 posts but I didn't see anywhere that mentioned it.
No doubt I missed it in the t&c's when signing up (does anyone ever read them? )
