wiper blades at rest position
« on: April 06, 2016, 09:20:34 am »
Hi there,

Firstly apologies if this has been posted before, but my wiper blades are making think I'm going nuts !.

regardless of speed, sometimes they return to the "home position" and I can't see the drivers side, some times they stop about 1/2 an inch above this and I can see the drivers side, sometimes they stop in the higher position and flick to the position where I can't see the drivers.

I'm using the drivers side as my point of reference but both are stopping at the two different positions and its not always consistant either and I can't put it down to one speed or the other or a manual mode and when I try to make it happen they don't misbehave!

anyone seen this before ? overall the wipers are smooth and there are no noises etc.

any thoughts welcome.

Thanks

It's normal, if I've understood what you're saying. They're designed to stop on one of 4 slightly different angles each time to reduce wear.

Thanks AJP, glad my description made some sense and that this is "by design".

Cheers
