DSG remap question

What version of software most DSGs have in the Edition 30? Does the version of the software relate to any hardware difference, i.e., an older software version means a weaker clutch?

I've seen that APR only remaps Exx and Fxx DSGs. Are Cxx as strong as those? 405 lbft/550 Nm a safe value for all?

Only a tuner can tell when they connect to the box and do a remap, I think. I only knew after my tuner told me mine was a Cxx.

Mines been ok so far. When I had my LSD fitted it was discovered that I had Mk6 transmission on 2009 car. No idea what version that is though...

As we are on the subject of DSG mapping, what can I expect from a dsg map?

I understand it will stay in gear in sports more and shift quicker but tbh its pretty instant shifting in stock form. isit really worth it?

Mine needed the torque limiter changed to make remap work well. The box was "cutting" the ignition timing, preventing the engine to make more power and torque.

The engine sounds raspier and quicker to respond to the throttle input but I think that it's just related to the increased boost and fuelling, nothing related to the DSG remap itself.

I had a full set of Revo engine mounts done and that changed power delivery and engine noise in the car. You can feel the engine vibrations (only just) through your fingers on the wheel at idle. The engine is restrained in it's mounts so there is no inertia generated by soft mounts to overcome when on the throttle. These engines move around a lot on stock mounts. On a modified car that's driven OE mounts are worked very hard. The noise in the cabin is very addictive, creates a 'growly' engine noise.  I love it, some may not. Car is very sharp on the throttle though.

Yeah, I forgot about those. I've only upgraded both dogbone's mounts to Vibra-Technics and that made a good difference to the engine response. My Eddie only has 38.500 miles so I think the top engine mounts are still ok. When they're a bit more tired, I'll upgrade them as well. Thank you for your input to the topic! I haven't seen any video with a DSG remapped and no fart at gear change. Mine keeps farting, the more boost the merrier, but I know it wasn't much changed so far (most likely just the torque limiter...).
