RNS Volume Not Working / Where For Parts
« on: April 24, 2016, 08:32:11 pm »
Folks, the volume dial on my 510 started getting a bit stiff at a certain angle initially, and now the volume itself doesn't actually work. The dial is still stiff between a 6th of a turn or so.

It's a dab version. Does anyone know if I got a replacement surround from an early model would the mechanism of the dial be easy to transfer to a late led dab model?

Fearing it might need a replacement front board which has the volume knob built in, anyone know where to get parts for the units directly? I don't mind tackling it myself.

I've seen screens, internal boards, DVD readers, etc., being sold on eBay.

So have I, none at the minute though.

It turns out that the volume doesn't actually adjust if the dab has no signal  :ashamed:. I tried it later on when we were somewhere different with signal and the volume went up and down at least. However the knob was still sticking pretty severely.
