Intake manifold breather

Searched this but it hasn't answered my question.
So it is a common failure it seems ........but I suspect it also brings other codes with it? Am I correct in thinking this?
Mine has been changed today v06f129101r along with gasket v06f103483e as mine was faulty.
I seem to have a couple of codes that are linked to emissions!
