Boot light dead
« on: April 26, 2016, 04:33:18 pm »
I've tried a search but nothing comes up.

My boot light hasn't worked since I've had the car.   The bulb and fuse are fine, as is the bulb holder (no loose diodes) so logically it must be the switch in the boot lock mechanism?  Thing is though, when the boot is open, it shows it on the MFD, so the switch must be OK?

Stuck for ideas now.  Anyone else had this problem?  Are the wires in the grommet that pass through the hatch opening known to break?

Get a tester and make sure you are getting power to the light and take it from there.
