Depo Xenon headlight help
« on: April 24, 2016, 04:07:46 am »
Hey everyone, I've just installed a pair of Depo headlights but notice the dipped beam isn't working tried google but hasn't helped i've got a bulb warning on the dash. also if you flash the lights you bulb turns on but dipped beam doesn't power up on it's own.

The car is currently using H7 for the main and the standard halogen form my old headlight for the dipped beam

Have you made sure the wiring loom connector is clicked properly into the headlight?

Just checked them and the bulbs work when I flash them. It just doesn't work on it's own on dipped beam and still got the bulb light on my dash. What else can i do? :sad1: it's annoying not having dipped beam :sad1:

What do you mean mate? I'm currently using New H7 for the main beam and used standard type 477 for the another. from what I remember shouldn't the dipped beam be on the same light as the main beam so the projector lens but will swap them around tomorrow thanks a lot for your help. One more thing do you have anymore ideas please I will be grateful if we can resort this issue thanks. :sad1:

The depo headlights take h7 for both dipped and full beam. It could be the bulbs you put into the full beams work and the bulbs you put in the dipped dont. Thats why i was suggesting to swap them over so you can eliminate it's the bulbs.

Hey mate, Swapped the bulbs around like you said and it's still didn't work. I think I need to plug a computer in to find the root of the problem as i'm sure i won't pass a mot if both like don't work. Plugged in my obd2 scanner and it said it had four monitor faults as in for the bulbs.

:sad1:It's annoying as I just want it to be a simply fit. One more thing I checked the harmless and it was in very well I seriously don't know what to do now. Thanks a lot for your help i've honestly been really helpful thanks.

I remember this company.i told the guys to first order from these lot. Then someone pointed out they were for left hand drive only. I emailed seller and she said left hand only.

Do you swopped both outer bulbs for inner bulbs and that hasn't worked.

Fuse you say is okay.

only other thing is lights are faulty.
