Id imagine its the same as taking out any fwd engine.

If you haven't done it before I would try it out hoping for the best unless you know exactly what your doing. its not simple like fitting an induction kit lol

You'll be lucky to get it done in a day. Leave the gearbox in, the mounts will hold it fine. Remove the full front end off the car too.

Front end off front wheels off unbolt drive shafts from inner I think 12 sided spline bit. battery tray out gear box and engine mounts off. lower dog mount off. all ancillaries unplugged where necessary. gear links off if taking it out with engine or your choice whether to leave in.
Fuel lines off
all radiator hoses front and rear of engine off. air con can swing outward without taking pipes off I think so you'll have to check.

anything I've missed?.

Well done, you'll have to share your knowledge of how you completed your feat, including your facility and tooling (outside on your drive or access to hoist and engine crane etc).
Not forgetting how many helpers you had access too, as other may be lulled into a false sense of security on such a task.

One man could do that job but not so quick if it's the first time and on the floor.
It took me 6 hours to take a renault 5 gt turbo engine out on my own and it was a dark garage with poor lighting hoist on RSJ.

Well I have access to a clean dry shed with heating and a nice car ramp witch makes a hell of a difrence and a engine crane so I could just hold the engine and lifted the car off the engine and slid the hole unit out in one go and after I had the engine out I got 2 helpers and we just cracked on with changing some hoses some sensors and just fired it back in ! The the only pointer I would give is mark all the plugs and wires you disconnect! Was stuck here as I never -.-

See that's what makes me think it's impossible to do it in that time no prejudice toward you at all here.

All the ancillaries to remove and refit takes time and the wiring back to the car and we all forget where certain wires were. even me

Anyways glad you've got it done however long or short it took you  :congrats: :driver:

The engine I bought had all the sh*t still bolted to it ! It was just a simple pull the AXX sh*t OUT change a couple hoses and pipes and through the BWA in and connect all the wires up and bleed the clutch

Lucky to get all the ancillaries with it as a lot of people sell those bits separately to aquire more monies  :signLOL:

I've sold three renault turbo engines I had laying around in the garden and left it all complete ready to chuck in bar the turbo chargers. so yes well done and hope it's running well?.
