Fitted new kenwood unit some reason air bag light come on

Right guys just finished fitting new dab kenwood all gone in a treat a part from air bag light come on don't understand. So scan car with just vag com reader an there no faults on car any ideas

If you unplugged the air bag plug in the centre part of the vents and turned on the ignition it will cause a fault,just needs turning of

Yeah that's exactly what I did balls how come it don't show up as a fault though mate on  a reader

Yeah just scanned with my reader mate but I can normal erase my faults but it not listing any mate which I don't understand

Is it a proper VCDS? If the airbag light is on then there has to be a fault code.

No  it not vcds just a cheap reader off net but it says all faults erased but light still on

If it's a dodgy reader you won't get a code?.

You require an air bag type of reader eg vagcom mate.  where you located?.

Yeah needs vag com or similar to turn the light of,some where local might do it for you or a decent garage
