Random power cut
« on: May 01, 2016, 09:46:34 am »
So when driving, randomly the power is completely cut I would say maximum 50bhp. I then the car off and on power back. Usually don't bother me but yesterday the power cut during an overtake.

Car has a decat, panel filter and custom remap
Any thoughts

No just once in a blue moon, n75 valve was what I was originally thinking, read up on old threads but there was no updates on what cured it

That's the big problem with people asking a lot of questions and fixing the problem and disappearing off the face of the planet  :stupid:

Check the dv if it's spilt as mine was torn bad.

Who was the custom map from?.

Have you tried unplugging the maf from the inlet manifold and see in if the may helps?. worth a shot if it helps your maf is shot and if it doesn't then just plug it back in and go for a drive which should remove the eml that pops up.

8 ball tuning in Inverness, does Apr and revo remaps but his custom are really good and half the price. I'll give it an unplug this weekend see what's what and I'll be keeping thread updated for future reference

Cheers bud.

Custom maps half price? Sounds a very good deal as they're usually higher priced as a lot of work goes into them tweeking and tweeking.

Apr and revo maps are very pricey compared with independent custom maps I've found (found out the expensive way)

Yea I was shocked at the price of Apr and revo maps, I was 360 and that included the before during and after dyno runs.

If that's a custom map price then it's a good price considering you have upgrades to match.
