Roof spoiler

Hi, I had a roof spoiler sprayed and fitted a few weeks ago but it just looks a bit to big :(  I've tried putting a photo of it on here but can't seem to be able to,  If you type on Google (roof spoiler 600797) you should be able to see it, thanks

Oh and why are you fitting over sized spoilers if you're the wrong side on 50 no disrespect to you in any way  I'm 41 and my Mrs says grow up when I want to or add an addition to my car but she doesn't understand the benefits of the product and even when I explain she's like you and your car. should have kept my tt as thay was fully done to what I wanted  fortunately BABY R5  came along so needs to fit him. in a 5 door and the only reason I sold up.

Hi again mate, I know what your saying but I thought a spoiler on the back would make it look better but once it was painted and fitted it seemed to look a bit biggish, I've spoken to the spray shop and it seems I'm a bit knackered:( Cut the spoiler off and then have the top of the tailgate sprayed £70 or cut it off and have another spoiler fitted, A costly mistake

Ah that's a bit of a pain then.
Why not just unbolt the complete spoiler and maybe find a boot lid with another one fitted and replace with that?.

What colour is it?.

Now try that with an audi mk1 tt no blobs just silicone right the way across but I managed it and fitted the longer V6 extended one on and it did look awesome

My V6 extension it was a complete original from the tt shop £300 odd.

BEFORE REMOVAL and standard spoiler fitted to the mk1 tt.



AFTER REMOVAL that tape was around the outer edge of the spoiler so not to scratch the paint work with the knife blade I was using whilst heating the knife and cutting into the paint under the spoiler one hour job.

 

AFTER FITTING the V6 extended spoiler.

Thanks Chris, My son also has a gt tdi but he had a full R32 bodykit including R32 wheels But that was way to expensive for me to do so I just went for side skirts and the roof spoiler, From a distance the spoiler looks ok but my wife said it looks like I got it off the back of a old 911  sarcastic or what. :((((((

Really nice looking motor mate I like that, The body shop said the glue they use is very strong and the tailgate would definitely need a respray at the top where the spoiler had been stuck down, I appreciate your help with things mate and I'm just trying to work out the best, easiest and cheapest way of sorting it :(. I'm surprised how much ear bending a spoiler would course lol

Have they stuck it on as an extension or complete because if it's an extension then the whole thing can be removed as shown in the link I sent earlier. Good luck with what ever you decide.

. Hi again mate, Spray shop said the glue they use is very strong and there's a99% chance the tailgate will be marked and would need respraying at the top where the spoiler was, Or I could get another spoiler which would cover the makes left from the other spoiler, God knows mate

You've misread my reply @bozz

It is an extention that's been fitted to the original spoiler or the complete spoiler fitted to the boot lid?.

Just Googled it. I think it looks OK.  Saying that my last motor was am impreza wrx prodrive. So I guess I am quite partial to a spoiler.
It's not totally in your face.
