Just wondering if anyone knows of a reliable place in South Yorkshire to get the odd bits checked out as I don't really have time and im pretty useless on the mechanical side of things!

My colleague has just had his mk5 cam belt, water pump and thermostat done at Autotecnic at Meadowhall. The guy doing the work also had a mk5. Gave the car a good check over while they were at it and flagged up a couple of bits that he might not have otherwise noticed. Seemed to know their stuff.

Statller Power Developments. They're on Attercliffe rd. You'll be hard pushed to find anywhere with their expertise nearby. There's usually a 4/5 week wait to get booked in though. They're in demand.

No, they're very fairly priced.

It's one of them you get what you pay for. All 'specialists' will be that little bit dearer.
In Donny you've got avg technic in woodlands who are good. Or onlychargeddubs in kirk sandal they have plenty of s3/tt/gti's in there so they should be good :)

What exactly is it you want doing ?

@Mitch H basically I've got an annoying rattle and I went to a garage near me and they weren't really interested in looking into it! Booked into a friends garage to see if he can find the source, I posted a video a couple of month ago. if not I'll be booking in with one of these specialists  no tyres just yet mate!
