But seriously, there's been some good answers so far. Strictly speaking Martin, your idea of running a larger engine could work, if you can run a stock one with good power. Anyone else looked at the 3.0TFSI V6 engine and wondered how to make it fit into a Mk5/6 engine bay?

One of those would be sacrificed for a VCDS cable if I didn't already have one.
