That's more like it 260+ and then a full exhaust system remap should set things right

Get him to change the timing Chain tensioner as like mine they fail other wise and that is a proper c#nt as it trashes the engine

Im curious with this. Once you get them changed, is there any chance it will be happening again after certain miles/time? or are there any updated and improved parts to completely avoid this ticking bomb issue?

But isn't that one the same engine as Edition 30 / MK6 R / 8P S3? (EA113).  I get confused with all the TFSI / TSI variations!

I think the main difference is EA113 has VVT on the intake only, EA888 has it on both cams.  I think EA888 also went back to a separate MAF instead of burying the bloody thing in the engine cover!

Yeah I think it is, though I think the MK6 R somehow eeks another 5bhp out of it. All gets very confusing with the variations I have to admit!
